Cooper WorldWide Multimedia agency specializes in providing a host of media related services to clients for long-range or short-term projects.
The company was launched by Nakia L. Cooper, a multi-award winning journalist and communications expert, with professional experience ranging from newsrooms to government agencies. Services offered include media coordination, content creation and management, digital and social media consulting, publicity and promotions, ghost writing, brand ambassador, event emceeing and hosting, etc.
Cooper holds an MA, Digital Media Studies and a BA, Broadcast Journalism and Mass Communication, both obtained at Texas Southern University.
Cooper has fulfilled leadership roles in various Houston newsrooms, including KHOU 11 News and KPRC 2 News, serving as senior producer in the digital media (web) departments at both stations, in addition to serving as Digital Executive Producer and Content Manager at Tribune Media’s CW39 Houston. The position at CW39 made Cooper the first African American person to manage a web department at a Houston television news station.
Awards won in newsroom career include one Emmy, two Edward R. Murrow, three Associated Press and two Lone Star Press awards (won with the KHOU.com team) and another AP award for Best Website (won with the Click2 team).
